Nell Shipman (October 25 1892–January 23 1970) was a Canadian actress, screenwriter, producer, animal trainer, and the Canadian pioneer in early Hollywood.

Born Helen Foster-Barham within Victoria, British Columbia, she is best known for her function around James Oliver Curwood stories and for portraying hard, adventuresome women.

Shipman died witharound 1970 within in Cabazon, California.
